Fond
Created in residence at Choreography Project Providence,
“Fond” is a story of four interpretations of living memory, brought on by the sensory experience of discovering physical mementos. This work was made in collaboration with the dancers and features themes of dynamic friendship, yearning, and glimpses of fond memories.
Kathryn Bowland writes, “A feeling of pleasing synchronicity in the movement echoed the easy joy of nostalgia. A variety of qualities – accent and flow, propulsion and softness, lifting and grounding – did also convey the complexity within nostalgia; it can be more than just joy. After all, memory can bring a flood of varied thoughts and feelings.” Full review here.
